I disagree. I think instead that there are several varieties of feminism, just as there are in any movement.

Gillian - I don't think we're disagreeing, so much as using different granularity in our definitions. I'm drawing a line across the whole movement - those on this side and those on that side. *most* feminists are hard working ladies, busting their chops to make life better for *everybody*, not whining like a two-year old about how unfair life is.

Then there are the man-hating feminazies (as my esteemed mother calls them) who get most (if not all) of the press. You know the ones I mean.. "I need a man like I need a fish" - Until it's time to change a flat tire. Or actually *do* something.
