A question regarding David Sereda....
Hello Everyone!
I am new to this forum and I am writing today to ask if a certain subject has been covered.
I am a skeptic and a free-thinker. That said I have a brother who has, shall we say, 'gone off the deep end' with all manner of unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.
I know this has been probably covered here but I cant find a relevant thread.
Recently, my brother sent me a film "Evidence: The Case for NASA UFOs," by David Sereda. I have watched this mostly ridiculous video. It includes footage from a supposed NASA experiment that involved unrolling a 12 mile long tether from the Shuttle that was supposed to some how extract electrical power from the high energy charged particles that are common in space. That sounds believable enough to me. Evidently, according to the video, this 'tether' broke free from the shuttle. For what ever reason the, the astronauts on board were filming the tether as it drifted away.
This is where it gets weird. The film goes on to show the footage taped by the astronauts and lo and behold there are these funky disc like apparitions 'floating around and, ominously, BEHIND the tether". This supposedly PROVES that these objects cannot be dust in the foreground of the recording. The motion of these objects does not in anyway look to me like the work of an intelligent agency. However, Mr. Sereda makes outrageous claims that these are clearly the technology of some advanced alien civilization that can change material objects into pure energy, thereby allowing hyper-relativistic spaceflight and NEAR invisibility. The effects that Mr. Sereda attributes to 'aliens' I'm sure, can be attributed to some sort of optical illusion but I don't know enough about optics to explain it.
Again, this has been in all likelihood throughly debunked by SOMEONE here i just can't seem to find a coherent rebuttal!
Can any of you assist me in this?
