    Interstellar phenomenon--

? Accidental,or natural forces beyond man's control--Between a maximum of 6400 years ago and a few centuries ago.Earth approached by a fleet of astro vessels from a dying planet. They came as Noah's Ark,to establish a new home.Upon establishing main carrier vessel orbital pattern, electronic mapping of the planet for avigational purposes began.Comes Nova Scotia.Pictou--(video)picture--out--Stellarton--stellarator(plasma generator--on--Tatamagouche--data mag--nets--ou-t--(Labrador,near Nova Scotia-march 18,1953-Captain Orion(Orien)Clark--lost B-36--possible "replication" by similitude of ancient shuttles in failure mode.)(Orion?)Near total disruption of all automaton systems aboard astro vessels as well as the planet's own ground automaton systems.Shuttle lander frequencies happened to be same as planet railways.Due to this shuttles responding to central train control could not steer, since the rail systems have no apparatus for any steering "maneuver",beyond the intermittant throwing of a routing turnout "switch".Interactive chaos followed.Trains ran at full speed,(up to 300 miles per hour)as throttles jammed at maximum attempting to respond to inverse shuttle settings of several hundred to two thousand or more miles per hour.We are now bionic replicants in a replicating world courtesy of derelict remaining orbital encased in the ice of what appears to be comet "Schiaparelli"--(ship--systems--parallel)9/11 was a situation of two shuttles approaching orbital vessel's to enter hangars when doors failed to open as expected due to electronic disruption.Replicated with alteration in 9/11 on a perfectly CAD automaton re-engineered world.(too perfect)Theory for Halloween,if nothing else--I need an electrician-Hypertext beyond the star's--alternative answers and suggestion's welcome--skytrainzastron--

Suggestion: Editing of text to make it more readable, use paragraphs and spaces.
Question: What are you trying to tell us here, apart from a deluge of words about space ships and trains?

Let me highjack this thread for a bit. There were some threads that got closed about a steady-state universe ('Endless", etc), and I started thinking about intergalactic engineering.

In a recent Sky & 'Scope (or was that Astronomy? I'm getting old-timer's) issue there was an article about how the galactic center Black Holes inside the largest central (active) galaxies can affect the destiny of entire galactic clusters and prevent trillions of star systems forming due to the jets/bubbles they create.

    So...what if...

Large scale Dyson sphere type technology is at hand. With even galactic center BHs being not a whole lot wider than Nivens ringworld, imagine if we have a huge tethered statite above and below the BHs jet--becoming heavier due to intense bombardment--thereby preventing the bubbles and allowing for star formation eons later. If BHs really can 'hold a charge' and be cast out if certain conditions are right, could they be given directionality, and the centers of galaxies be given a vector to null out expansion, at least to a degree?

Near Q-level engineering to be sure, but if it is true that you can circumnavigate the universe by travelling NAFAL, then missions by nano-probes and Von neuman probes to replicate and send such projects into other galaxies might just affect the fate of the universe.

    Good base for SF anyway...

HOW I BROUGHT THE EXPANSION OF THE UNIVERSE TO A SCREAMING HALT IN FIVE EASY STEPS...

"Well, our first goal was the eon long Andromeda Collision Avoidance Project (ACAP), but our Counter-Hubble Project (CHP) will be a much vaster undertaking, but I feel we are ready. BTW, how is Riverworld holding up after three Myr...Hastur?"

"I'm sorry big C, but sometimes I go to sleep under the water too you know, the Hyades are just so soporific this time of century. I don't pay attention to those guys. Could you believe those humans? They couldn't even stop a pesky mile wide asteroid. Something about the 44th President canceling NASA to "save money."

"I'm glad I helped Ghroth destroy them." The Mi-go are so much more forward thinkers. This time next millenium for the reading of the minutes?"

    "Sure Mr. Kath-low.."

I propose that massive cables should be tethered to distant galaxies, and the force of expansion be used to power simple (but gigantic) dynamos by wrapping the proximal end around a large rotating drum.

Energy for nothing, and you slow down the expansion of the Universe.

The statite would have a tether near the 'top' of the event horizon, with the jet pushing up against the statite.

In theory, I might just be able to string a tether between two counter-rotating black holes.

And by nixing the bubbles caused by the gas, allow trillions more stars to form (over time) with a structure not much bigger than a dyson sphere--easier to make even.

More possibilities for life to arise...

Item posted on counter-rotating "black holes"--I have two working model's of oscillating gyratory mechanical thruster's which I built with model train parts. They produce enough thrust so as to move along in the horizontal.A necessity of the device was to have two counter-rotating units so that the thrust impulses occur at a point in a circle as the nominal "weight's" meet while rotating in opposite direction's.A possible secondary or alternate level of anti-gravity as could relate to possible counter-rotating vortices far apart in the cosmos,or,very close together in a micro-cosm.Good question.---skytrainzastron--

What happens when you put one of these dinguses on a smooth surface covered with ball bearings (to simulate a frictionless environment, such as space)?
