Much as I am philospohically a scientist myself, I am not so naive as to think there is nothing to humanity but science.
Strawman. No one said that there is nothing to humanity but science.

That's what I've been saying all this time...

An assertion does not have to be a scientific assertion.
An assertion of an actual event needs evidence to be taken seriously.

An assertion on a science board should be scientific surely?

    A bit off topic (sorry)...

Is your meditation of Jewel Staite an original work? If so, I love it.

Edit: Enough to make it my new 'tar

Grumble. That's what I was going to say.

Well, the last one might actually fit as an answer to my question:

How could there be any useful non-scientific answers to the claim that aliens came to earth and created humans?

But as for the rest . . . how do they apply to this specific question?

We are talking about a specific claim of aliens coming to earth and creating humans. It is not a discussion about philosophy or religion. (Or if it is, it probably shouldn't be discussed here.)

    Conceded and withdrawn. Moving on.

I grant that, in this forum, he'd better have some objectively verifiable evidence. This is why I said : "His biggest mistake is that he's come to the wrong forum to express it and to look for his answers."

I just think that he's not looking for a scientific answer.

May I suggest to you, sir, that your true talent is in existential art? As a lover of art, I am extremely impressed by your beautiful but minimalist style, and the manner in which it is inspired. I would hang your meditations in my house.

There hasn't been much of an argument because, as others have stated, there isn't much science can offer to your opinion. Your personal revelation and experience is going to be your reality. There's very little area there that we can delve into

An assertion without evidence may be dismissed without argument.

Well, if someone just claims that "Man was created by God" and keeps things on the religious side, then it isn't a scientific point.
But if you make a more detailed claim like "Man is the result of a breeding program involving Gorillas and Baboons, managed by angels which also built Stonehenge as playground for their children", something that steps out of the philosophy/religion domain into the physical side of things, something that involves things that can be tested or experimented with...
Then I would consider it to be a "scientific point" in the same way that someone trying to compete in Olympics is an athlete, even he failed to prepare himself properly and doesn't make it to the finish line as a result.

Late reaction on this: the context was lost due to the threads being merged. What I meant was that the human may look as if trying to mate with the lion, or alternatively trying to fight it (or tame it). It's a matter of interpretation.

But anyway, you clearly get your personal insights from meditation, and it appears to work as inspiration for your art as well, so I think it's a blessing for you. And it's not a problem if your meditations are not scientific, any good scientist should recognize that and realize science doesn't need to offer arguments or opinions on it, as it's outside its field of application. Ok, so that means it doesn't really have a place on this board as this is a science board. That doesn't mean your meditations are "a bad thing" or something like that. One use this thread did have is show your and other art, and that way it has been of value for all of us. I hope the scientific answers in this thread -mainly stating that it is not scientific- have given you new insights on the meditations as well. And looking at it this way, a thread stating an against the mainstream idea, that is identified as non scientific, still has come to a valid point on a science board.

I hope you continue to enjoy your meditations and art!

these pictures are having similarities of the image i visualised.
Except for the horns, oversized mamaries, hands rather than hooves, and a striking resemblance to something other than a cow, but devinately not bovine.

All that, along with the splayed upper thighbones sort of give it away, particularly since your drawing reveals many such animals on the planet from the great horned owl to various fish.

I claim Dagon as my demiurge.

Eventually one day I will return to the deeps beneath Innsmouth.

    Just FYI.
