    Breaking News! Moonhoax!

  2. #2
    Footage from "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way to the Moon," eh? And here I thought it would be something new.

    So-called "seagull posting" is frowned upon here. Besides that, this is handily debunked at Clavius:

    Err, wait...

    Watch and learn! Moon is fake!
    The Moon is fake? That's one heck of an illusion the universe has been foisting upon us for all this time.

    Heeh, I actually haven't seen it before. So to me it was new.

    And yes, the moon is fake. I read it in a book, so it must be true. But wait - what's a segull-posting?

    A seagull posting is a posting containing stuff like the stuff seagulls drop.

    Seagulls fly by and drop a piece of ****.
    So do seagull posters. They go by and simply drop.... You know what I mean

    Wow!

    I need to reassess all the knowledge and experiences of my last 50 years to bring them into line with these new claims.

    OK, I just did.

    So, nichts, what what else is new?

    Yup, sure can. It's the part about how the astronauts did the sophisticated fake shots of the earth while in orbit by useing sophisticated cardboard, taped over the windows.

    In other news: http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap061210.html A bit of sloppy wording on APOD's part. I don't think Schmidt was 'running'. They should know that he was most likely doing the moon walk loap...lop...lopp...hop and it only looks like he's running. tsk tsk I guess they don't keep the moon hoaxers in mind when writting these articles.

    A lope is a run.

    I musta missed that set of argumentation--running on the moon is evidence of a hoax?

    I just figured some HBer would say that you can't run on the moon and if Schmidt is running, then he couldn't be on the moon. yada yada

    Seems to me that you wouldn't have much traction but maybe you would if you weighted ~300 earth pounds.

    Schmitt has likened walking on the Moon to cross country skiing.

    at first the astronaughts were running, but it was difficult and innefficient. and they very quickly developed that moon hop that is so famous.

    so for a few steps the guy decided to do an innefficient and somewhat difficult mode of locomotion. he's on the friggin moon, how often do you get to play around with that?

    Astronaut, not astronaught. There is no gh in the word.

    Well on Apollo 12, the crew stated that it was a constant battle, but after a while you'd sort of get used to it, especially having to stop before you were at where you were going, or else the momentum would just take you right on past (apparently, on Apollo 11, Buzz found this out the hard way when he ran right past the item he'd gone to get.) They also found that the dust was "slippery" and so traction was sometimes a problem.

    This Bart Sibrel smoking gun is ...uhm, neither smoking nor gun.
    If you just watch the video without Sibrel narration you would simply never come to the conclusion that this was an "earth-faking" in process.
    So the narration simply makes push - to make you see something that it is not.
    In fact I can take the video and narate it any way I wish, I can even claim these are mongolian immigrants in submarine planting their own opium crop. It would witstand scrutiny as much as Sibrels version.
    That's the problem with HB, they always go for push or narration that is otherwise not obvious. They want visual clues, but hoaxes are hardly dependent on visual clues.

    Smoking = steaming
    Gun = Gnu
    ** = crap

    a simple mistranslation, ala HB.
