    Hum,
i am not familiar with that scope but it sounds like a good general telescope; However i suspect that it is , like generally other normal refractors, not suitable for photography.
For common doublets, a narrow band filter or extending the focal length etc may help, but practically not recommended.
A reflector is probably what you need.

The UK retail stores LIDL will be selling the Meade LXD75 6-inch reflecting telescope with Autostar computer controller and mount and tripod for £499, from the 30th November. It usually retails around £850

    Meade LXD75 150mm:
    # Focal length:762mm
    # Mirror diameter: 152mm
    # Optical system: Newton reflector
    # Magnification: 29x
    # Finder scope: 6 x 30
    # Super Ploessl eyepieces
    # Price £499.00

Watch out for advertising! The 6" Newtonian LXD75 and the 6" Schmidt Newtonian LXD75 are not the same telescope. The 6" Newtonian has always been rare but has always sold at £499- without the Autostar handset. The 6" SN is the telescope with a list of £839.

The Lidl offer doesn't mention a 497 handset, though the telescope is still going to have the required drives
