I just want to clarify one thing for my own understanding, here. Is it that most jobs require a driver's license specifically or is it that your state doesn't have state ID cards? (Wait. You're in California, right? I'm pretty sure they have ID cards, but since I had a military ID by the age of 13--my dad was a 20-year man--I don't really know.)
One of the things I like about Washington is that the insurance companies are legally required to insure people with pre-existing conditions. I don't remember what the rules are back there. (Because we had military insurance through my dad from before I was born, so my conditions definitely weren't "pre-existing.")
"Now everyone was giving her that kind of look UFOlogists get when they suddenly say, 'Hey, if you shade your eyes you can see it is just a flock of geese after all.'"
"You can't erase icing."
"I can't believe it doesn't work! I found it on the internet, man!"
