Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV series Round 1p

This is a MULTIPLE CHOICE POLL.

Please select what you think are good series. I, myself, have not seen all of these series. I may well select some on the basis of reputation or premise. If you wish to make comments about these specific shows, they are welcome to those who may not have seen those shows.

OK, anyone want to take a guess at which of these series gets the most votes?

You know if you are running out of shows, there are/were plenty of scifi cartoons to use too.

Well, it appears that this thread has been pushed into the second page. I also tried not to include Saturday morning serials because that WOULD add an additional 100 or so to the list.

Believe it or not, I am running out of shows. But I expect that possibly as much as half of the remaining 20 shows to poll will have a shot at making the next round. Round 1t will be the final poll of the first round.

In case you're wondering, four Star Trek series, a certain PhD, the FBI, a lost mining ship, a car, an island, a famous book adaptation and a time traveler are on that list that I think will garner quite a few votes. The other nine may well get a few, too.

I honestly did not plan to put so many of the most well-known series at the last. I ordered the list by alphabet and numbered them 1-20 five times.

But, hey, nothing like saving the best for last. For the second round, I will be asking everyone to choose their top 10 from the ORIGINAL list. But the selection presented will be limited to only the top 25 from round one. So everyone should have a heads up and catch the end of the thread linked above.

Well, okay, My Mother the Car probably qualifies as fantasy (or woo-woo), but "garner quite a few votes?" I wouldn't vote for it, and I like both Ann Sothern and Jerry Van Dyke.

Perhaps we're talking about Knight Rider.

I voted for Next Gen and Xena this time.

Michael, I don't think this is a really good idea.
Shuddup & just engage Turbo-boost KITT!

There, that's the whole series summed up (why did I like it?! Oh, I was so young back then ...)

STNG & cough, cough, Project UFO for me on this one

Sliders was a great idea but terribly executed. Poor John Rhys Davies.

But the poll is closed. I agree with parallaxicality, though. I didn't vote for it.
