    IC 1318 widefield

    Hi all!
One of my first attempts using a H-alpha filter. This photo was taken with a H-alpha filter 8nm, 200mm Pentax Takumar f/4, iso 1600, 6 x 5min exposure with my modded Canon DSLR.

    Thanks for looking!

A very beautiful wide field of this region, sharp and detailed. Great job.

    Superb image, so much detail.
How do you find imaging in H-alpha as opposed to normal imaging through the DSLR.
    Is it much harder ?
Is focus more difficult to achieve?

I'm very interested in getting into H-alpha imaging.

    Cheers

Hi Perran. Your photo takes me back to 12 grade photography class. Where every object you took a photo of was in Black and White. Well done Thanks.

Your work is great send more. Later Paul
