Duh.

Can't get into details, but this is not the operationally normal expenditure of a C-130 or any other USAF aircraft.

Again - Duh. Like someone with a clue hasn't actually figured that out.

I'm surprised nobody caught the error in the caption of the first photo. It said that the vortices were caused by the engines. This is a common misconception, but is just plain wrong. The vortices are created by the wings themselves. Any wing, even a glider wing, will produce wingtip vortices if it's producing lift. Lift and vortices are bound together (although people will debate which is the cause and which the effect).
