    Snakes helped primates evolve.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Snakes may make people jump for a good reason -- human close-up vision may have evolved specifically to spot the reptiles, researchers reported on Thursday.

That's almost a non-statement. Anything that killed off the unwary helped humans evolve. I bet the genus' Homotherium and Pachycrocuta were a lot more influential in "weeding out the weinies".

So one way or another, the Serpent gave us Knowledge. Esp. in South America

Yig should have minded his own business. We were happier eating our berries cold. No getting ones hopes up for space exploration only to have it dashed by the primates in the Beltway.
