    Barnard's Galaxy NGC6822

    Hi Everyone,

Here is an image of NGC6822 in Sagittarius; Barnard's Galaxy. It is a very low surface birghtness galaxy that is difficult to image. Nontheless, it has some interesting features.

    Image specs and higher resolution:

Tom, how high does this satellite galaxy get from your site? For me it only gets about 10 degrees high at best, I'd love to have a go at it though. That's one qulaity shot with some great equipment I have to add, I'll have a go i hope with my humble Canon 300D, and Celestron C80ED.

    Great detail,
    Regards,
    Keith..

    Kieth,

From my observatory in southeast Idaho, NGC6822 reaches an altitude of 31 degrees at its peak. It's a tough one to get for sure!

    Incredible image Tom,

Lots of difficult to get details......very Nice!!! I Know how hard it is to capture this faint low surface brightness one..... so I can really appreciate the amount of time and work to get it this good!!!

    Awesome job TOM!
