The Magnetohydrodynamic drive. I suspect that it's advantage is that it is quiet.

Which reminds me of another non-mechanical plasma drive, the Hall Effect thruster, based on double layers. [ref]

A nice ion thruster mechanism, but how you get the hall effect in here, I did not see that mentioned.
