Exclamation 10th Planet coming towards EARTH???

I've very interested on this 10th Planet everyone seems to be talking about, however i havent really been able to find any information about it. I now found a new site that clearly states that there is a 10th Planet in our Solar System and may even be on route towards Earth : http://www.unseen.net.tc/planet_x_approaching.htm There may even be some consequences of this, read the article and tell me what you think please

Hoo-boy. Sorry, but you've hit one of those websites based on sheer fiction, rather than fact.

There's some debate about the real 10th planet. There's some objects out beyond Pluto that may qualify as planets... but since we don't have a solid definition for the word "planet" things get difficult.

Now, "Planet X" is a different beast. This is supposedly a supernatural planet that can magically change directions in space and has been due to smack into Earth since the 1980's, depending on which hoax you follow. Sitchin is one of the worst for making things up as he goes along, just to earn sales for his books.

Don't worry about it. What you found is just another hoax. The real science of the 10th planet is more interesting.

    Welcome to BAUT, pecad0re!

Planet X has been cussed and discussed in several threads here. Try using the Search function in the Conspriacy Theories forum.

Phil Plaitt (the Bad Astronomer hisownself) has a series of articles about it on his site...

    Welcome to the forum pecadOre.

The link you have provided gives no real evidence and just quotes some true believers and conspiracy buffs. Planet X hoaxes have been common in recent times, including a prediction by Nancy Leider that Planet X would arrive on May 15, 2003 (big shock - it didn't). Other websites such as the Nibiruan Council, Resenmut and others also have big premonitions of doom and gloom from Planet X - and it looks like 2012 is looking to be a popular prediction date (the Mayan calendar rolls over that year y'know).

From an scientific perspective it just doesn't work. The gravitational interactions with a Planet X would have caused the inner planets to have perturbations in their orbits (and Venus's orbit is almost circular), geological effects that current scientists would have found, and a far more dramatic cultural and artistic representation from ancient cultures than the cherry-picking we currently see by some PX proponents. Plus astronomers should have discovered PX by now since it would be closer, and much larger, than any of the Kuiper Belt objects discovered so far.

Don't worry about PX, but if you see some other astronomy items you're wondering about feel free to come on by and discuss them.

I believe the tenth planet is just biding its time, hiding in a sublet apartment in downtown Chicago until it releases itself and wrecks havoc on the Solar System...

Wow, that's a big Twinkie, uh, apartment. What's the monthly rent? Will the South Side be the first to go?

All kidding aside, there's just no way a great, big, rogue planet could *sneak* into the inner solar system without being noticed.

Here's the BA's conclusion about all this Planet X stuff:

    The Grand Conclusion

Planet X doesn't exist, and we are in no danger from a giant planet, rogue or otherwise. Lieder, Hazlewood and the rest of that group are wrong. They may be consciously lying, or have a tenuous grasp on reality, but in the end it doesn't matter: they are still wrong.

Boy, I had almost forgetten- in just a few days it will be the third anniversary of the End Of The World As We Know It.

I remember that night pretty well. There was a lovely lunar eclipse that began just around moonrise here in L.A. I was working the night shift at the studio; once I'd found a good vantage point from which to view it I spread the word around, which pretty well put the kibosh on anyone actually working for a little while- the clients were all down at the corner watching the eclipse.

I hope you were in Black & White and had a cigarette dangling from your lip when you wrote that.
