Hi group. Heres a new try at M-42. I am not there yet but I am working on it.
This photo was taken using my 125 etx and a sony cybershot mounted to a 40mm lens. this is a 30 sec. shot.
Next time out I will use a 18mm lens and a nebula filter. I did my alignment tonight using Polar finder. After I got polaris focused in my 12mm illuminated reticle lens, I moved the scope to right untill polaris was in the outer ring on my 8x50 polar finder scope.
I checked polar finder one more time on the computer, it looked good to go so I sent to Saturn. With out any star alignment it went right to Saturn and was in the mid left side of a 40mm lens.
I centered it and let it track for 40min and it was still in the lens when I was finished with dinner. This is a great program and its free.
