    poll problem

Ok, I just tried to do my first poll here on the BAUT forum...failed miserably. The problem: I couldn't seem to get the poll option to show up when I previewed my post, it only showed up after I posted. After thinking about this a bit...does one have to post their coments first, then fill out the poll and then post it again?

Yeah, that's what it looks like. You post the thread first (it shows up in the forum) and then you tack a poll onto it.

Well, you enter your text with the polling option set, click on "Submit New Thread", and then it comes up with the page that allows you to set up the poll.

Then you post the poll a separate time from your original post, right? (I really hope that's right).

Yes. You write your post normally, check the poll box, and hit submit. Then the poll options show up. You fill in the poll fields and hit submit again.

Go to the forum you want to start the poll in, click on the "New Thread" button at the top. In the new thread page, make sure the "Yes, post a poll with this thread" checkbox is set (down toward the bottom). When you click "Submit New Thread" it will go to a page that allows you to set up the poll.

But please don't do so just for the sake of having a poll - come up with something worth asking.
