Excellent resource. It is truely amazing how much they can effect the orbit over time. How much propellant did cassini carry onboard?

There is a fair amount of propellant, but most of this change is through careful use of the gravity of Titan.

    Look at event 61...
    Enceladus close flyby
    Altitude: 23 km

Just amazing how close they will fly it =)

Just hope there aren't any 24-km-high mountains....

I wouldn't be surprised if they backed off on that a little - it seems to be cutting things a little too fine.

I think they will pull it off; I'm guessing they will aim the probe away from the active southern region. Rumor on "unmannedspaceflight" is that a lot of scientists are jonesing for detailed information on the moon's interior, data that could only be gleaned by an extremely close flyby.

I was reading that toward the end of the mission they want to fly through the plumes of material coming from Enceladus. that's probably the event 61, so I think they have adjusted it to come that close on purpose.
