Webcam to the Planets - Mounting?

For those of you who use modified webcams to take images of the planets (and then stack several hundred of them), do you mount your webcam to the telescope at all? My good digital camera that I can mount doesn't have a movie mode, but my older one that I can't mount does, so I'm wondering if I can achieve the same results just by holding it up to the eyepiece and shooting. Or maybe some good duct tape?

    Thanks.
