    Brown dwarf around Sol?

Just a question.... I was reading about Epsilon Indi, which as two brown dwarfs orbiting it at around 1500 AU.

Now that brown dwarves are being discovered with increasing frequency, our single-star system seems more and more unusual with each passing year.

What are the odds of a brown dwarf being discovered >1000 AU from Sol? Would we have detected its gravitational influence already, or is that too far away?
