Higgs Field-Higgs Bosons is it ?

After doing some research on the Higgs field, I am wondering if anyone is proposing that the Higgs Field is Dark Matter? Or is it possible that the Higgs field the brane "surface" that our universe resides? Any thoughts on this issue.

Side note: The LHC (Large Hadron Collider) with 17x more power than FermiLabs is scheduled to be completed by 2008. I understand that there primary goal is to find "the elusive Higgs Boson".

Even at that, I suppose they'll need many collisions before a single higgs boson is detected.

Just because it can find it, doesn't mean it will find it on command.

These kinds of searches are always statistical in nature. You observe countless collisions and eventually find a behavior that is a significant statistical oddity unless you accept the conclusion that lead the experimenters to do it all in the first place. That's how you find new material.
