    Is string theory testable?

Not having a technical background, I can't really specify my question any more than that, I'm afraid, but from what I've seen of it it seems impossible to test or to verify.

If we make an particle accelerator the size of the Milky way, then they think that they could see strings....so no, it is not feasible to test, sadly.

If you fallow the link that Stonecut gave me on my thread, it explains A-LOT about strings, go check it out, quite interesting!

There are possibilities, such as this and this, among others which have been discussed on the forum.
