    Martian meteor showers

    All,
    According to the Mars Rover website, mars is pasing through the cometary tail of Halley's Comet, and Spirit has been observing the meteor showers. One of the best pics is at http://marsrovers.jpl.nasa.gov/galle...P2739L1M1.HTML in the 'Raw Images' list. No doubt images combined and processed from the various filters will appear in the future.

    A further achievement by this supremely successful mission!

    Wow, that is an amazing shot! I got the feeling of standing out on the top of the Columbia hills at night, watching it for myself.
