How similar to other meteorite types are meteorites from comets?
I'm not aware how much is known about this. Return of particles
from comet Wild 2 by the Stardust spacecraft should give clues.
I would expect them to be most similar to but not identical with
carbonaceous chondrites. Do meteorites of cometary origin make
a category of their own, alongside carbonaceous chondrites,
ordinary chondrites, achondritic stones, irons, and stony-irons?
