Thread: Zetatalk now encouraging killing pets

1. #1
This was an except from #poleshiftdiscussion on Saturday, available for reading at http://www.zetatalk.com/index/pjan1803.htm

(NancyL) ZT: Already, it has been noted that many animals, domestic as well as wildlife, act crazed.
(NancyL) ZT: Jack rabbits attack, and spiders spin webs over acreas.
(NancyL) ZT: It is a part of folklore, true, that domesticated animals often pottent a quake, by acting nervous, hiding under beds, or restless.
(NancyL) ZT: They are listening to what is in the air, increased electrical charges that interfere with radio transmissions, also another portent of quakes.
(NancyL) ZT: How will animals behave, during the days preceding the shift and the shift itself?
(NancyL) ZT: ALL animals, including humans, seek to escape what they sense is a crisis, a cinch point.
(NancyL) ZT: If matters are bad HERE, then MOVE, so will be on the move, endlessly.
(NancyL) ZT: A loud noise sends a herd running, a stampeed, and scatters a flock of birds.
(NancyL) ZT: Their instincts tell them that something has exploded, or dropped, may be heading their way, so MOVE.
(NancyL) ZT: Likewise, portents of thunderstorms are more than just thunder cracks, it is electrical charges in the air.
(NancyL) ZT: To escape potential lightning strikes, animals have learned to MOVE, to leave the area, and thus the restlessness of domesticated animals such as dogs and cats just before an earthquake.
(NancyL) ZT: Most certainly, this will be the situation for at least a WEEK going into the shift, and domesticated animals hard to handle for this reason.
(NancyL) ZT: What should a pet owner, or farmer, do?
(NancyL) ZT: In the case of pets, who will be hard to feed and most likely become a meal instead, they should be put to sleep.
(NancyL) ZT: This is the kindest thing, but our advice is unlikely to be heeded, so they will run about, be injured, be starved, be shot, and eventually be eaten.
(NancyL) ZT: However, to save one's strength for the children, the injured, the hysterical HUMANS among you, eliminate the pets from the equation, our advice.

Best go and kill my dog now then.

"Bobby! Here's boy! PX is coming so you're gonna have to go!"

She says dogs go hysterical. My dog just sits by my feet when there's a large explosion from fireworks etc. Nancy's turning into a bit of a monster now... Next it'll be 'kill the kids' because PX will scare them too much.

***The post previously occupying this space has been removed by the author (that would be me) solely out of respect for the point The B.A. made about the appropriateness (or lack thereof) of the content. My appologies to him for the post. I'll agree that this forum is not the place for the previously existing remarks, but I make no appologies for the content of the remarks, satire or not. Jack rabbits attack...
I’ve seen that happen, they can be horribly vicious. Grown men cannot stop a crazed rabbit, although most try despite warnings. They are too difficult to catch, so putting them to sleep would not work. Instead, just count to three and toss The Holy Hand-Grenade of Antioch…

On another note, I was thinking about Nancy’s communication with the aliens. It sounds a whole lot like Harry’s communications on 3rd Rock from the Sun. I wonder if she says “Incoming message from The Big Giant Head”, too…

Seriously though, this one is ridiculous. The notion that anyone should kill anything with no proof is ludicrous. I wonder what the ASPCA would have to say about Nancy’s “mercy killings”?

Satire or not, I find this post to be wholly inappropriate. Please try to restrain humor like this in the future.

Hey, ask Jimmy Carter about "crazed rabbits attacking grown men!"

This is all very reminiscent of a 1972 shlock film, Night of the Lepus. Maybe Nancy was watching late night TV, fell asleep, and just thought she was channeling alien messages?

Indeed, I think Nancy is just a bit caught up in her own rhetoric. I'd be quite happy with an apology for causing concern. I've been cruising around some other Planet X forums on the net, spreading the good word of Bad Astronomy, and I've seen the effects Nancy's ZetaTalk has had on some people: panic attacks, worry, total upheaval of lives... But it's catch 22 with these believers: they demand proof nothing is going to happen, NASA and the atronomical community oblige, only to be accused of covering up for the Government. It's easier to convince people something will happen, than to assure them something won't. Ah, well. It's all in the human nature.

What about the killer tomatoes? They have attacked many times, even on saturday mornings!! What do we do about them nancy?

I really do think that she has gone too far. If i were you i would send the ASPCA her website adress and specifically the area where she mentions that. Thye would have a really fun talk with her. Heck maybe they would even sue her for making false statements and leading a dangerous, suicidal cult. I really hope that she does not tell her followers to drink something when planet X is supposed to be here. That would be a horrible waste of life.

Indeed it is; soothsayers, doomsayers, prophets & more have been calling for "the end" since time immemorial. The best we can do is give as little attention as possible.

That really wouldn’t make any sense. But then again, she’s managed to piddle away hard evidence without any tangible facts of her own, so maybe rational sense isn’t her strong point. The Heaven’s Gate group wanted to “transcend”, which they sadly thought required leaving their bodies behind. As far as I know, Nancy is essentially yelling “Heads up!” as a ludicrously large foul ball heads towards Terra’s part of the bleachers. She isn’t promising a blissful afterlife to her followers, is she? So, hopefully, no one will do anything rash. Perhaps some of the diligent members who keep an eye on ZetaTalk can watch out for anything like this, and pray it doesn’t come.

Let’s just hope The Big Giant Head* doesn’t loose his, well, Head…

*3rd Rock from the Sun reference.
Edited to hopefully prevent confusion...

When we have earthquakes, the reaction of the cats depends on the strength:

Low to moderate (hanging light fixtures sway): Cats on couch raise heads, look around room for 2 seconds, go back to sleep.

Strong (TV falls off shelf, shaking goes on for more than 30 seconds): Cats leap into air and run under the bed or couch.

Both of these reactions seem eminantly reasonable to me. More reasonable than the reactions of some people I've seen.

So she's saying that the approach of Planet X will cause lightning strikes, earthquakes, and an increase in general electrical activity? Because those are all the things she mentioned as animals being sensitive to...

I'm losing track here--is Nancy's version of PX supposed to actually crash into the Earth, or just do a near-miss fly-by? Why would either one of those scenarios cause an increase in electrical activity, like lightning storms?

14. #14
Jigsaw brings up a puzzling point (Jigsaw…puzzle…ha ha?). I thought lightning strikes were more or less constant all over the world (100-125 per second) and that they were a necessary discharge of electrical energy (something like static electricity for the planet? My memory is very fuzzy…). Regardless of the reasons, is it even possible to increase overall electric activity?

Ah yes, the Holy Handgrenade of Antioch.

From the book of Armaments:

"Lobbest thou, thy Holy Handgrenade of Antioch at thine enemies, who, being naughty in my sight shall snuff it."

Seriously, I agree about the ASPCA. Anyone know whereabouts Nancy from Zeta Talk is? I'm sure her local ASPCA would be quite interested in her views. Some of them might be actionable.

It's gonna be a dark day if some Zeta Talk loon kills my dog. A dark day indeed.

Well as a lover of dumb animals everywhere, I sent the following to the ASPCA main site which I believe is based in New York. Not sure if they can do anything, however it puts the complaint on record.

This is an odd request, especially coming from a non US citizen, but I believe that a situation may be developing that your organisation may be able to help with. Can I please ask you to have a look at http://www.zetatalk.com/index/pjan1803.htm and in particular the references made to domestic pets and livestock.

The zetatalk website promotes the idea that a rogue planet will cause severe disruption to the earth, sometime around the middle of May this year, and while I believe that everyone should have the right to freedom of speech and expression, it goes too far when this could involve injury to animals or persons.

I understand that this is a somewhat unusual complaint to make, however I believe that this is legitimate and worth monitoring.

Many thanks for taking the time to read this far, and I wish your organisation every success.

Oh, and if you want to read the truth about the wild stories that are circulating about Planet X, you would do a lot worse than to look at http://www.badastronomy.com

*******************************************
[Edited to add this footnote]

My copy of Neotrace (from Neoworx.com) is playing up, however that would confirm the address for the web hosting service she uses, and occasionally you get a contact address for the site owner.

I’d love to see the laws involved in a Scottish national filing a report to an American organization about a lady who believes extra-terrestrials (i.e. The Big Giant Head) are telling her to kill the world’s animals due to an inbound wayward planet. Should be enough to keep the UN bickering for years…

liglats, I especially liked the last sentence...

Huh? Setting up an inquisition? No.
What I'm saying is (and I didn't want to be so abrasive) we are perpetuating the Zeta crazies' claims merely by giving them this attention.
And now I'm disgusted with myself for even replying with this post; this ridiculous thread will be at the top!

*steps up and blows a trumpet*

*ahem* I now decree that from this day forward, just as we call the lunar HB's 'twinkies' and refer to the Dark Lord Kaysing by his true title, the aliens of Zeta Reticuli shall be known on this board as the Big Giant Head.

*steps down again*

Ahhemmm!!!

*steps on his shoe box*

I second that statement.

Oh and from now on I decree that Nancy herself be reffered to as Pinkey and the Zeta's as Brain. (well they do try to take over the world)

Sibrel will be now known as "The Wimpy Son of The Dark Lord Kaysing"

And Finally the planet Nibiru/PX should have its name changed to "Goofy". Because it is just that.
*steps down from his shoe box*

So if another planet DID do a fly-by, would it increase lightning activity? And if so, why?

http://www.srh.noaa.gov/mlb/ltgcenter/ltg_facts.html
Average number of lightning strikes worldwide every second - 100

Average number of lightning strikes worldwide per day - 8.6 Million

Average number of lightning strikes in the USA per year - 20 Million
Also...
Where there is a lot of lightning, there is an increased chance of being struck. The corridor from Tampa Bay, FL to Titusville, FL (a.k.a. "Lightning Alley") receives the most lightning in the United States on an annual basis. Furthermore, more than 90% of the lightning in this area occurs from May through October, between the hours of noon and midnight.

...On the other hand, thunderstorms are uncommon in the Pacific northwest, and are virtually unheard of during the winter months.
So maybe only those folks who live in "Lightning Alley" need to stock up on suicide pills for Fido.

Hey, I was curious, since I am assuming you have read various writings of such, do any of these soothsayers, doomsayers, prophets & more, other than the ones in the Bible, give a reason for the "the end" and a foreshadowing of what is to come after? Or do they just say, "The end! Good-bye!"?

Funny, I thought "spinning webs.." was kind of normal activity for spiders, rather than a sign of impending doom

Also, as an active ham, I have not encountered any "electrical charges" interfering with radio transmissions [-X

But that is the point of it all. Some people believe wholeheartedly in this and follow her every word as if it were gospel, even when her premonitions and predictions come to nothing. We joke about it here because I believe we have the common sense and respect for our own intellect, but the fringe that follows her Jim Jones style must be harmed in one way or another for real.
