    Apollo costs?

Ok, so this isn't conspiracy-related, but just a question regarding Apollo (i.e., I posted this question in the Space Exploration forum but the thread only got two replies which didn't clearly address my question. So I'm posting it here since I know Apollo enthusiasts (e.g., JayUtah et al.) hang out here more often.)

I'm just curious about cost comparisons. How much funding did the Apollo program receive (and what would its inflated value be today)? And how much funding will CEV receive?

The cost of the Apollo program in current dollars is given as about $100 billion. I believe that includes the Mercury and Gemini programs as well. The original total cost was about $24 billion.
Everything I need to know I learned through Googling.

Hi, Harald. That website has many wonderful pages of information, but it is SO frustrating that they have only back and forward buttons. It would be so much better if there was a way to jump to a list of contents.

Rich used the file used for printing the book to generate the HTML. Sure there are better methods than using FrontPage (or you can tweak it to generate other, better code), but Rich was an Apollo geek, not a software user geek... :-)

BTW, he currently works together with David Harland on a beefed-up version of "Apollo by the Numbers".

hmm.. Apollo costed about $100 billion over about a decade in today's dollars.
the CEV project is supposed to cost around $100 billion over about a decade in today's dollars.
it has to be a coincidence...

If there is a coincidence, it has to be a conspiracy. Jeez, you think with the cheaper computers, it would cost less to fake the pictures and video.
