    Cheers MT...I was thinking about the Apollo shots of Earth from the Moon and used some reverse logic - or something like that...!

    I also just atttached the camera and was about to frame it right-way-up but thought, "hey, that looks ok as it"...

    Great, great photos here. So glad to have this forum. Here's a shot I took last April 17, in which Tycho looks very conspicuous, and another I took the day before. Hand-held digital camera on a 4-inch Dobsonian reflector.

    Yeah i've always wondered if anybody can actually see the apollo landers too... can anybody answer this?

    We answered this very question a few posts back on this very thread, Hubble can't do it, ESA's smart-1 ( currently in orbit ) might be able to before its mission ends, while designs for future telescopes and the next spacecraft will be able to image detail from the Apollo or past Russian missions
