    Welcome, Tyro!

Love your first quote, BTW. I can think of several recent scenarios where I could have used it to great effect.

That is what happens when you single me out
    It is the gypsies curse

ETA: There is a format that delays a new posters post if it contains URL's just in case it may be spam...

No I speak English and many dialects of gibberish.

I picked up like five words in Bosnian when I was over there.

Other than that, I am shamefully linguistically ignorant.

Thanks! I like it too, I use it on my brother - who then calls me a Trekkie as if that somehow wins the argument

    Welcome

Just a question, are you pro-conspiracy or anti-conspiracy?

Hello everyone! I have been lurking for a while and thought that it was time to get post #1 out of the way and to introduce myself. My name is Rick and I am a Fire Chief in Southwest Ohio.

I have spent the last few weeks reading old posts and trying to get a feel for the lay of the land so speak. I look forward to getting to know everyone a little better!

    Welcome, bunker.

This is a big community with a wide variety of interests. Of course most of us are into astronomy and debunking bad science. Feel free to post whatever you can contribute. And please read about the rules. Its mostly about being polite.

Welcome bunker; always like to see fellow Ohioans on the boards.

And despite the fact that you're from Vancouver and not Ohio, welcome sendo!

    My appreciation, Mr. Neverfly.

Oh don't mind me, I was just scribbling some equations which came upon me. My new brain feels more energized.

EDIT: There are probably some members here who understand these.

    Re: Introduce Yourself!

Welcome to the BAUT, Ceebsies, Eleniar, reidenschneider, fffizzz, Tyro, Sendo, and bunker9603!

Read the FAQs, especially the rules, and have fun.

Good luck, Ceebsies, with your career choice. If it's astronomy, then, please definitely keep us posted. I can see you eventually educating us on what you're learning.

I'm with you, Eleniar, re TOS and TNG. Best of luck escaping the Borg.

reidenschneider, how's that new edition of Shakespeare coming along?

    Nice desktop, fffizzz!

Spend some time here, Tyro, and you'll find that when it comes to astronomy and space science, you'll have to change your nickname. Just kidding!

Sendo: Vancouver, eh? Any movies currently in production up there?

You know, bunker9603, we have so many members from Ohio that sometimes I think the BB description should be changed to "a forum for the discussion of astronomy and space science, and a place that provides Ohioans with something to do."

Unspoken rule of forum - Smilies would help in others identifying sarcasm in your posts.
