    Smile I'm baaaaaaaaaaack

    Hello old friends

It's been a long time but I thought I'd pop my head around the virtual door

For those of you who don't know me, I used to be a regular poster and moderator (I think - or did I imagine that? LOL) back around 6 years ago. Might've been more... I lose track.

Just to give you an update - I'm living in Louisville, KY now with my family. I badly miss the clear dark skies of Oklahoma *sigh* Every time I go take the trash out I look up at the stars and think about getting the 'scope out. Then I realize I have a limiting magnitude of about 3.5 and I decide to stay in instead.

    I know.

I'm also currently working as a corporate trainer and am busy reading and writing. I'm into writing screenplays right now. I'm on my second. I realize, of course, I probably stand a better chance of winning the lottery than actually selling anything, but I can dream

Anyway, I thought I'd say hi... see who's still around...

    Dips

    I'm Stars15k

I use this same name in YouTube, where I go regularly to debunk chemtrails. I have made a few videos about them, and the silly things that they don't think about, and have been called all kinds of names and have had all kinds of accusations made against me. But I keep a research list of where I get my facts so I can quell any naysayers, but usually they just call me names and supply nothing to support their claims. I just found this site tonight, before deleting Google Chrome from my toolbar. I don't know why I haven't found you before now, but I can't wait to meet and talk with all of you. It gets tiring answering why a dark line in the sky beside of a contrails and plane is just a shadow because it can't be anything else. I do that about twice a week. I've been blocked by more people than I can count, but do not practice censorship on my channel or my videos, unless they continue to stray off topic and just call me bad names. Nice to meet a whole group of people (outside of Contrail Science, that is) who all have enough knowledge and common sense to know science does not allow such a really stupid theory as chemtrails to work.

Welcome to BAUT, Stars15k! You'll find that rules for civility and decorum here a bit more strict than in youtube comments. I see you already found the CT section

Welcome Stars (et al.!). As someone who grew up near three major airports (Wright Patt, Rickenbacker, and Port Columbus), I'm always glad to see a chem-trail debunker.

Good day everyone, Aaron here or call me Nimbus, I don't really care
I had recently gotten into Astromony Cast about a month ago and so far with constant listening, I'm just about half way into it and quite enjoying it. I can't believe I never gotten into podcasts before that and now I just love listening to all things science. Astromony Casts tops the cake.

I hope to see you around

    Hey, all.....

I am about to start studying aerospace engineering, and found this site while surfing on the internets.

I like robots, spaceflight, jamming, baklava and penguins. I built a $50 robot from the societyofrobots page, hope to one day play a mandolin in orbit, and enjoy greek delicacies while internetting.

Welcome to BAUT, Astrobot. Twenty-five years ago I read in a National Geographic article on the space shuttle that "people who had never dreamed about going into space will be going into space," and I thought, hey, I've dreamed about going into space, so that means I'm nearly guaranteed a shot.

    Hey guys,

I'm Streather, discovered the forums thanks to a video explaining that funky spiralling light over Norway yesterday morning, had a look around and it'd looks like a pretty cool place to chat

Think thats about it for an intro really

I'm still finding it pretty cool myself. That spiral thing was super trippy. Very cool.

Welcome to the both of you!

Hi, I am a Canadian who has enjoyed Phil Plait's websites and articles for many years. I was born in England, but was kidnapped at the age of six by a roving band of Eskimos who took me back to the Canadian north and raised me as one of their own. I escaped after many years, and made my way to Southern Ontario by snowshoe, sled dog, kayak and canoe. My years of chewing blubber fitted me for a job in the civil service, where I am a Network Administrator.

    Hello Bad Astronomy...

Not much I care to share about myself but looking to have a positive discussion on whats really going on in space....

    PEACE,

    DropaKing

  20. Hello Bad Astronomy folk!
I'm Mazzz (a.k.a. Maria) and am based in Leeds, UK. I have signed myself up for an Open University module on Astronomy, so I'm sure I will be pestering people with questions soon!
Aside from that, I work in the IT industry with SQL Server databases, and in my spare time I write short fiction (mainly SF genre). I am only publishing stories on my blog at the moment, but I fully intend to submit to, and get my first rejection from, Interzone magazine in the next few months...

Oh, and I have read the rules ;-)

Hi, I'm a regular reader of BA and UT and thought I would see what the forum is all about. I am preparing to retire from a career in IT as a Unix and Oracle Admin, so I'll probably have some extra time on my hands. I'm an avid reader and enjoy playing pool and poker. I am amazed at the mysteries of our universe and, for a layman, I think I have a well founded understanding of mainstream cosmology. Though it may take me awhile before I start contributing (lots to read), I'm looking forward to the experience.

    Ok lads! - I don't bite!......... much!

First post..... My First impression of this Forum is that its very up tight.

    Nervous?

was directed to this thread upon registration
and of course just seen this on my way in........

    Imposter warning???

    What's all that about???
Only in the door and the message is "watch it" "You get banned dead easy here"

"Oh I'm trembling in my shoes"

Achem!! (cough!!) Well apart from that... I'm a Skeptic of the apollo missions and am amazed at the ridicule directed at people who express doubts on the the moon landings.

I look forward to discussing a few things with members but I can tell you now Im not interested in Camera Lens's,Shadows or any other nonsense.

Sorry not much of a greeting I know but perhaps one could view it as a reflection on the lack of objectivity I have seen on this forum thus far....
