Thank you for your warm welcome! It is a Great place with people who have the same view.
Yo! Had my eye on this forum for a while but I never thought to register. I haven't used forums in years thanks to imageboards so all these formalities feel weird.
Anyways, I'm joining up just for some general discussion, and maybe for some help/ideas/feedback on the Kerbal Space Program clone I'm in the midst of building (mainly because i have been less than happy with their update schedule and staff, but this isn't the place to discuss that is it?).
HI PingTimeout!
Welcome to CQ!
Read the rules and faqs, and have fun!
Best,

Looking forward to participating in the CosmoQuest forum. I stumbled across it when doing a search on the Universe and the Cosmos. I'm A.U. from the wonderful city of Atlanta, GA... looking forward to some lively, yet respectful debate.
Hi
I am retired. I have owned two telescopes...I have come to the realization that I don't like to be cold and at night I want to sleep. So a third scope is out. I am going to buy some time on a time rental.
I live in NE Indiana and belong to Fort Wayne Club. I am a novice wanting to learn from the best. That would be all of you.
Hi Amazing Universe & GregorB!
Welcome to CQ!
Best,
dave
Hi all. My name is Victor Vitro, I'm new to cosmoquest so bear with me. I love Astronomy and have a 114 EQ Newtonian Reflector. Small but, not a bad scope. I've had this scope for years, and just decided to take the plunge into a computerized mount. I purchased a Celestron Advanced Series GT mount and a Skysync GPS. I can't get the two to work together! Since this is only an introduction, I won't get into the specifics, but PLEASE HELP ME!!!
Hi Victor, welcome to CQ. I merged your thread into our general welcome thread.
I would suggest you post your telescope questions in this part of the forum.
Thanks for the welcome. I hope I get some good advice. Thanks to all in advance.
I'm not a big fan of the introductions thing but here goes.
I am The Frozen One. My background is in avionics, electronics and IT. I love astronomy with a passion. Although I know I don't have the credentials that some of the brilliant minds on this page possess, I am an ardent believer that a person should continuously strive to know more today than you did yesterday, regardless of what stage of life you are in.
I found this site via Astronomy.FM several months ago and finally decided to fore-go my natural introversion and join up. Hopefully, I can at least contribute to the efforts put forth here. If nothing else, I will continue to learn, and that in itself makes this venture worth while.
Thanks for having me.
Cordially,
The Frozen One
P.S. I would love to see a cursive font. Wishful thinking I'm sure, but just putting it out there.![]()

Hi Folks, new here too from Virginia, US. Retired chemist but astronomy has always been my hobby and interest. Look forward to catching up.
Hello, Browny and Spacedude! Welcome to a great place to learn. As for me, I am a Fun-N-Games poster who likes to read about science, but there are plenty of real scientists who know their stuff here. Have fun!
