This might seem like a strange one, but, do you remember at the end of Total Recall, when Arnold Shwarznegger nearly has his insides sucked out when he's exposed to the Martian atmosphere? - or when Gert Frobe is sucked out the window of the plane at the end of Goldfinger? - or when the astronaut explodes inside his suit when it's decompressed ( I think it was in Outland? ). My question is, does anyone know what that process is called? when an object expands when the air pressure around it is reduced, or even removed entirely? I'd like to find out more about that in scientific terms.
