ANOTHER QUAKE

I just turned on sky news and there has been another quake, 8.2 off sumatra.

I don't know much, but there have been reports of building damage from the quake and as of yet no tsunami reports.

anyway thought i might let you all know.

The USGS has just upped the estimate to an 8.7! The one in December was a 9.5 and 6 miles beneath the surface. This one was 8.7 and about 18 miles beneath the surface. Both were on the same fault line.

I read of reports of people in Kuala Lumpur fleeing buildings that were shaking -

I have just returned from there - this is very frightening.

We were conscious throughout our trip (and the two day visit to Bangkok) that the danger to the area was not over.

It is a strong possibility that there will be another event soon - this has been forewarned.

The danger is still ongoing - will these poor folks get no respite?

There was another aftershock along the same fault this morning, too. It was in the 5's on the Ricter scale.
