Comet C/2003 K4 LINEAR

Its driving me nuts I spent a whole heap of time the first clear night we have had in weeks looking for this comet with my 7 x50s and couldnt find it where "starry night" reckoned it should be

are 7 x50s just too small to find this comet?

(I really wanted to image this comet but I have a sort of rule that I try and never GoTo an object that I cant find with binos or scope (if possible)..that way I dont feel I'm cheating when using the goTo)

C/2003 K4 (LINEAR) is running behind the ephemeris predictions and by reports and the Comet Observation Home Page estimate is a seventh magnitude object, which may make it a bit hard to see in a 7x50 binocular unless you have very dark skies.
