Some of you may be more than aware of this, but I give all the credit to my 10 year old son for suggesting this.
Last year in school he read the book Holes by Louis Sachar. He saw the DVD for rent at the Library and said it was a really cool story and wanted to take it out.
Playing the dubious Dad, I rolled my eyes a bit and said OK. We would try making it family movie night. These don't usually work most of the time.
THIS IS A GREAT STORY!!!!![]()
It is wonderful for children in that 10-year old age group and older. Bad language is minimal in the movie. Its written and produced in a way that I appreciated it but he has watched it twice in two days. And this even after reading the book first!
I recommend it to anyone with kids 9 to 19. What a wonderful tale.
Now I must go and read the book. As with most stories I expect some interesting things from the book that did not show up in the film.
Take care all.
