mars color question

Dear forumpeople of Universe Today,

How come the colors in the pictures taken on earth of the sundial,
differ from the colors on the pictures of the sundial taken on Mars?
All my friends and colleagues are cracking their heads on it, but nobody
can come up with a good explanation... Could someone please explain this to us?

Because we get atmosphere on Earth, therefore when u point ur camera to mars and take a picture it will look like a brown color ball or sometime red (any object that is too far away may look like a red dot) correct me ><

I&#39;m sorry, I think you answered an other question...

I was talking about the SUNDIAL, the colorcard NASA uses to caliberate their pictures, taken ON the Marsian surface. If in my opinion everything is correct, the color of the sundial shown on Mars MUST be the same as the colors on the picture of the sundial taken on Earth...but this is NOT the case&#33;

Blue has been filtered out of the Marsian pictures as you can see on NASA press release images of the sundial on Mars. You can compare this with the images of the sundial taken on Earth...

Could anyone explain this...?
