    Lancy?

Only my friends call me that. But I can assure you I am very reliable.

    Or did you mean Nancy?

if you refer to Nancy Lieder:

    1) none whatsoever. she's been wrong in everything she predicted and will continue to be in future. that is my prediction and you can quote me on that.
    2) no
    3) no
    4) no
    5) no one has figured that out yet (or at least not in a way that can be put on this board and not result in a banning offence)
    6) see 1) there's no truth to be found there.

My appologies, ladies and gentlemen, I meant Nancy(Nancy Lieder) and not Lancy.

    Hmmmm hard question...
    um..
    Oh yeah

    NONE

    [2] Is she an astronomer?
    *Snorts out drink*

No- that is one of the problems. She makes astronomical predictions- without the knolage to support them(impossible).
    [3] Is she an atrologer?
No, she may belive in it though,( I dunno)
    [4] Is she a seer?
    Nope- no-one is
[5] What on earth is she then?
A woman who either enjoy's the attention or actually belives the stuff she saids.(Which is wrong)

[6] What do you think of her talks about the polar shifts, natural disasters, etc...?

To make is simple: Nancy Lieder's claims = 0% reality.

Isn't she the one who predicted the end of the world a few years back, and then went crazy when it turned out that nothing happened on the date in question?

Either that, or she's the one that went crazy a few years back and made unfulfilled predictions about the end of the world.

Covered already. She's apparently one of the least reliable sources of information known to man.
    [2] Is she an astronomer?
Not at all. In fact, she believes that all astronomers everywhere are involved in a massive world wide conspiracy to cover up her non-existant "Planet X"
    [3] Is she an atrologer?
She says some pretty wacky things, but I'm pretty sure even most astrologers wouldn't want to claim her as one of their pack.
    [4] Is she a seer?
Well, I suppose she has eyes, which makes her as much a seer as anyone else on this planet. "Seers" don't exist. They're a lofty group comprised of con artists, frauds, and people who believe they have some sort of ESP but in all actuality simply have overactive imaginations.
[5] What on earth is she then?
A woman in her mid-fifties (I think?) who apparently lives in the middle of the woods in Wisconsin and spends her days playing Chicken Little on the internet.
[6] What do you think of her talks about the polar shifts, natural disasters, etc...?
I'll let you know when they get translated into English.

I don't think "when it turned out that nothing happened" was the causal event, especially since "predicting the end of the world" is a pretty good indicator of crazy in itself, but basically yes, that's Nancy Lieder in a nutshell (pun unintended, but gleefully adopted).

Username24, I had a feeling you'd encountered Lieder given all your altered rotation questions. As others have said, Nancy isn't a good source of information. She's not even a bad source of information.

As others have also said, and I will echo, the amount of energy required to alter Earth's rotation in any way would almost certainly liquify the surface of the planet, and there's nothing in the solar system poised to do this. Planet X is a sick fantasy to get people worked up over nothing.

You'll sleep a lot better at night if you simply ignore her ravings.

I have heard a lot about Nancy Leider but I had not been to her site before, so being inqusitive, and being (or trying to be!) open minded I thought I would have a look .... errrrm..... what can I say?

All I can think of to say is #-o

Nothing really made a lot of sense, and there was no "home page lead in" to help new visitors (try to!) understand what the site is all about. How anyone actually believes any of it is beyond me..... but they are all entitled to their own opinions. It's just a shame that many seem ready to believe so much pseudoscience or just plain wrongness which seems to have no basis in actual fact (scientific or otherwise!)

Anyway, that's my opinion ..... at least until proven otherwise.....

    A few corrections.

Nancy Lieder is a woman in her sixties who lives in North Freedom, Wisconsin.

Not to berate her, but she lacks knowledge in the following areas:
    - astronomy
    - geology
    - volcanism
    - climatology
    - physics
    - ad infinitum...

    You get my drift.

I've been debunking her on and off now for a couple of years. She knows me by name and by the sound of my voice (back in the days when I actually bothered to call in to the Lou Gentile show).

*grin* That's who I was thinking of when I jotted that down. It gets to the point.

Would you be kind enough to answer or comment on some of the topics you have raised here and elsewhere?

Just for the record, I am of the opinion that they all belong in PX since they seem to be related.
