Stumbled Across a Video on YouTube

In one of the other threads, which I can't find right now, there was a question about how someone could stumble across a moon-landing hoax video on Youtube. Apparently, it is easier than I thought.

Tonight I had some time to kill (a rarity) so I visited Fark.com (a good timekiller), and ...

    1) I read a report that "Airplane" is the funniest movie of all time.
    2) I couldn't remember the name of the movie it is based upon, so I did a Google search.
    3) It took me to the YouTube video titled "Airplane vs Zero Hour"
    4) Afterward I followed a link to the ten best gags from "Spaceballs".
    5) That didn't include the "Ludicrous Speed" gag, so I searched for it.
    6) After watching the gag, I followed a link to "Spirit Rover gets a Visitor" (I thought it was a gag, but was a bad 20 second video showing a rock that looks like a cave man)
    7) After the 20 second video, there were several Moon Landing Hoax video links that I could choose.

Perhaps the same way that all Internet arguments eventually lead to the mention of Hitler, all YouTube links eventually lead to the moon-landing hoax.

I can see how this can happen. Recently I was looking at a trailer for a new computer game, and from there, YouTube presented some suggestions for other new game trailers. I clicked on one, which turned out to be an amusing trailer for a game based on conspiracy theories ("The Secret World"). Unfortunately, YouTube then started suggesting a bunch of conspiracy theory videos. Ergh.

I say there is an invisible elf in my backyard. How do you prove that I am wrong?

Sometimes it's even just a matter of a CT Youtuber has a legitimate hobby/interest. Hit one of their legitamate videos, and with the way they word things (or have certain buzzwords like we have signatures) and a match on the user, one of their CT videos can easily end up in the related videos list.

New theory - Six Degrees of YouTube: One is never more than six videos away from a Moon hoax video or a Maru video.

I think that game has to be played with people.
So; it would be "Six Degrees of Bart Sibrel".

I watched a video rebutting some claims made in a pseudo-documentary film that a friend of mine disapproves very strongly of, and clicked on one of the related videos, which was something similar. It greatly amused both my friend and I that one of the related videos for that was titled "Toilet Noises".

Yes, there is a moan hoax supporter who is a swimming analyst(legitimate) and he has videos on both swimming and the hoax. Very funny. Both video types are pretty good for amateur video I think. I know swimming well, so can tell he does make quite a bit of sense in that department. Don't know the hoax, but am interested. Movies are obviously planned in the sense the guy has some organizational skills reflected in a not bad video structure, plot, theme.

To make the six degrees game more challenging, we could require the hoax vid to be on the specific "LEM [sic] too flimsy" claim...

and call it "Six Degrees of Kevlar Fakin'".

A lot less time than it takes for an HB to come up with a fresh claim.
