    How long married?

Straight forward question....how long have you been married?

37 years this month for me.

...and thanks to VonBelmont for giving me the idea for this thread.

aside....I seem to remember a somewhat similiar thread some time in the past, but couldn't find it....so I started this thread.

As mentioned in the other thread, The WifeŽ and I passed 8 years this May.

If I had stayed married the first time, this year would have made about 24 years...

...since my murder conviction...or funeral service. It's a toss up.

    Geez, what's the rush?

I was married for ten years. The divorce (a relatively friendly one) was finalized last year. No regrets.

Not. But we met ten years ago this month, which means that our anniversary as a couple will be our tenth, come March. And ten years of living together come July.

We were married for 35 years this past June. However, we've figured out that separations, due to remote tours and temporary duty (TDY) while we were in the Air Force(16 years for me, four for her), added up to only being together for about 30 of those years. We also kinda enjoyed the getting back together part of all those separations. About three years after I got out, my wife said to me, "Isn't it about time for you to go TDY?"

Ten years on the 21st of this month.

I had wanted to do something nice for our tenth and since it falls on a Friday that would have been perfect. But my wife has a side business as a photographer and she booked a wedding for the 22nd. Our last two anniversaries she was in Germany. Maybe we can do something fun for number 20.

So did I....and my Wife was [cough]17[cough].

The age difference seemed like a big deal then...not so much now.

Aside...please forgive these numerous posts....didn't realize this thread was going to "take off", so I'm playing "catch up".

The same for me! I should however add that this time period was shared sequentially by two wives.

Although I didn't actually specify "to the same person", that was my intent when starting this thread.

It's just over 31 years for us.

Which is remarkable, as we'll only admit to being 29 years old each.

39 years this October. You work and play together as a team. You share. It works.

    Best regards to all couples.

Good...someone who has been married longer than I...one of the reasons I started this thread was to answer that question...

...and now that I think about it, I believe it was one of the reasons I started the other thread.

33 years, and finally got married "officially" in 2007. If there is such a thing as 'Eternal Recurrance", I will go and find my Wife in 1969 and save a lot of money and trouble! The two Connecticut wives were not worth the trouble, IMHO!! Alabama Women are a lot nicer and less "high maintanance" that the Ladies in CT ever were!! (To be fair, it helps that we have the same interests and hobbies!)
