My friend and I were discussing superterras and what they might be like. We were hoping to get one that was similar enough to Earth that humans might be able to comfortably live on it. I wasn't sure what mass and gravity would work (and what size it could be as a result). I theorized that it could have formed in the snowbelt of its solar system and migrated in, so it could have much more water than Earth.
We were also considering moons for the planet. My friend wanted three, one a bit more massive than Earths (1.01 the mass with 1.25 the size) and two others roughly half of the moon's mass and size. I had suggested these might end up in orbital resonances, but he wondered if the smaller two could end up having a common barycenter yet still orbit the planet.
Thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
