    Other goofy stuff you've misread

Driving home from work (a long commute, about an hour and a half), I was on the freeway with a truck as well as other traffic out in front of me.

The add on the back of the truck said "Topsoil Savings Bank". Eventually that filtered up in my trivia processor, to be greeted with a "Wha???" from my tiny brain.

Rescanning revealed the actual text... "Topsoil, Shavings and Bark".

I do that kind of stuff all the time, some quick glance at a sign, a "what?" moment, and then a "oh....".

I got stuck behind a truck once that had a sign which read, at first glance, "Liquid Hydrogen". I had to do a double take. What it actually said was "Liquid Hydrogen". What's that doing on the freeway at rush hour? Probably safer than liquid oxygen, at that.

I can't tell you all the times I've thought that a title, name or post had a dirty word in it, but it didn't. No, really, I can't tell you, I'd be banned.

I was driving down the street once and noticed that somebody had misspelled the word "smilies" on their marquee.

I quickly realized the word was "smiles," and even more quickly realized I was spending too much time on the Internet.
