It began on Friday, when I sat down to do bills. I'd been putting off recreating my filing system since I moved here last summer, which is really unlike me, as I usually don't put off anything. But hey! I'd retired, so I was worth it, right? I shouldn't have to keep up with paperwork anymore, right?
Well, you know how that story goes.
I needed to make sense of a bunch of paperwork, and I couldn't, as I was pile-filing: My files were in piles. I grew so frustrated that I gave up and watched Act of Valor, which was actually quite cathartic, as SEALS have their s..., er "stuff together."

Put it off.
So, Sunday rolls around, I head to Office Max, buy some files, and spent all day. First I re-created my filing system, and next I began stuffing papers into my files.
I feel civilized once more! Hence my theory... But actually, I think they're something to date, although I think organization pre-dated writing, probably because of the natural requirement to stack firewood, smoke food, organize cured skins so they dry well, and keep food stored, yet visible, so that as much of it is used as possible before it went bad.
So no, not a real theory. Just sharing my weekend with you.
