I saw a HB claiming that Samuel Noah Kramer supported Sitchin.
I found some information about them, but only in HB sites. Have you heard this claim before in other sources?

When I hear such claims, I ask the claimant to say where he/she got the information from, in order to trace it back to the original claimant and get a cite.. Usually the silence/evasion occurs on the first such request, which will tell you all you need to know...
As far as I can see, Sitchin cherry-picked from Kramer's work and added his own stuff to concoct his fabrication.
What is the claim exactly, that SN Kramer verbalized his support for Sitchin? Kramer died in '90 so they were alive together but I've never heard he stated his support for Sitchin.
Sitchin drew from all the earliest scholars of the Ancient Near East, so I'd be interested in hearing what specific claim is being made.
Where the telescope ends, the microscope begins. Which of the two has the greater view?
I sinecerely believe that if A.DIM doesn't know about it re. Sitchin, then this idea is of recent "manufacture". (yes....that is a "compliment")
We should also consider the source, or lack thereof.
Slight nitpicky correction....Sitchin cherry picked which "early scholar ideas" to accept, and which to disregard. He "drew" what he thought would "comfirm" his ideas, nothing more.Sitchin drew from all the earliest scholars of the Ancient Near East...
Well, you sound like you know what you're talking about ...
Do you have any specific examples, particularly those pertaining to Kramer's work?
Again, any examples? He "drew" what he thought would "comfirm" his ideas, nothing more.
Specific to the OP will suffice.
Thanks for taking the time!

What's to "know"? ...Sitchin makes/made claims regarding ancient alien visitors. Since no credible evidence exists for such an idea, all I have to do is call his "conclusions" into question.
Re. the rules of this board, I am not required to prove Sitchin wrong.Do you have any specific examples...
I'm sorry, I'm not asking you to prove Sitchin wrong. You made a "slight nitpicky correction" and I asked if you've any specifics, or could speak to the OP. You did, after all, sound like you know what you're posting about. No worries, it's OK if you don't know where or how Sitchin cites Kramer, but that would be something to know. So nevermind me ...
Of course, I'm still interested in whatever specific claim regarding "Kramer supports Sitchin" Jairo is posting about.

You are asking that I show specifics as to why I think that Sitchin "cherry picked" the evidence he "liked", and I am under no obligation to do so.

I know there is no credible evidence that "backs up" Sitchin's alien visitor ideas....why would I need to know more than that?
This isn't "about" you or I, A.DIM...it's about Sitchin being wrong...and obviously so.No worries, it's OK if you don't know where or how Sitchin cites Kramer, but that would be something to know. So nevermind me ...
You, yourself didn't know about it, and I'm willing to "take your word" on that....meaning there is absolutely no reason to believe this is anything other than a "woo" site making stuff up. Jairo even posted that he could only find it on "woo" sites.Of course, I'm still interested in whatever specific claim regarding "Kramer supports Sitchin" Jairo is posting about.
When stories, such as this, appear, it is always "prudent" to consider the source..
