Lightbulb The Cheer Someone Up Thread

Post anything which you think will likely prompt a chuckle or lift the mood of persons who might be in a foul mood on any given day (...like me, today). Non-religious inspirational thoughts, a silly joke, funny personal anecdote, cute photo (kissing kittens, etc), Darth Vader strangling someone (whoops! sorry ;-p ... good thing I work in my home on days like these).

Obviously I can't officially start this thread (bad mood), but will contribute later.
I'll tell you in the next life, when we are both cats.

I recall my mom once quipped...

When I told my wife the reason I hadn't bought her flowers recently,
is because I like to buy them when she's not expecting them, she instantly
    replied......
'I haven't been expecting them for quite a while now !'

In the next life, we'll both be cats. Hopefully, like my cat... sitting on the top of the bookshelf, anoying the dogs...

When I need to be cheered up about the state of the world or humankind, the BA's blog about Best. Image. Ever. usually does the trick
Think on this, and think on it carefully: you are seeing a manmade object falling gracefully and with intent to the surface of an alien world, as seen by another manmade object already circling that world, both of them acting robotically, and both of them hundreds of million of kilometers away.

Never, ever forget: we did this. This is what we can do.

Rain would cheer me up, we're in a drought.

I'm guessing those men are hugging men because years of blood, sweat and tears have finally paid off in a successful mission.

Either that, or the astronaut they all owe money to just snuffed it.
I wish I knew all those years ago that simply joining this board and proclaiming myself to be rational would magically transform my uninformed opinions into science; it would have saved me a lot of time and effort.
