Bottom left of the page on the lowest bar, there is a dropdown list. switch from "CosmoQuest" to "vB4 default style." It will change BG colors to match the old BAUT spectrum.

I was having the same problem. I tried to take a different route, by modifying my personal profile settings (My Profile > Customize Profile Settings). However, that didn't end up working. Upon deleting my cache and attempting to access the forum, the link color had not changed. I inspected the styles applied to the link itself and didn't see any reference to my personal profile choice.
I went ahead and switched per Noclevername's suggestion the other theme and while that works great, it's missing the appropriate logo links in the upper left hand corner.
Hahah, unfortunately, I've already made a bit of a fool of myself by making a link that somebody else had in the original post.I just couldn't see it.
