Thread: Big bang Kills itself

    Big bang Kills itself

When the Big Bang was proposed, they said that it would end with a Big Crunch.

    BUT

Current Data show that the expansion rate of the universe is actually speeding up.
This leads to the theory of the open universe:
It starts with the Big Bang ans then expands on forever.

    BUT

Is it true, or will this one also commit suicude?

I don't understand the poll. The Big Bang, as I understand it, may have led to an Open Universe, a Flat Universe or a Closed Universe. So the last three are indeed mutually exclusive, but not one of them rules out the Big Bang.

(Favoured, right now, is Big Bang/Open Universe - but everything depends on new research, so I'm not sure I'd vote anyway, even if just the last 3 were available.)

Yeah, I sorta messed up on that, the Big Bang option was actually supposed to be the Steady State,.

Personally, i'd go with the Closed Universe Theory, cuz that eliminates the "How did the universe start question"

The universe was probably 'reborn' from the previous energy.

    Uh huh ...

Odds are now, that Universes are Born, in a Way, rather a kin, to How Stars are Born.

You see when a Stellar, or Greater, Mass, Collapses to Form a Black Hole, it Creates a New Universe with All of its Dimensions, at Right Angles, to its Parent's Dimensions.

So, just like Stars, Collapse of The Gererating Medium, Leading to a Birth.

I selected "Big Bang," and would additionally have selected "Open Universe", because the Big Bang does not rule out any of the other choices by itself. The Open Universe is preferable because, since the middle to late 1990's, the results of measurements of the Type Ia Supernovae have ruled out the remaining two choices.

Scientific results change with new information. Sometimes change is difficult for many people.

    Change is exciting. =D>

Open, closed and flat are simply the three geoemtries in FRW cosmology which is the standard cosmology of classical big bang theory.

Observational evdience tells us that the geometry of the unievrse is very close to flat.
