    Mythbusters off for the summer.

    *Sigh*

I think I'll hibernate until fall.

I want to do that every year, regardless of what the MythBusters are doing.

Is it just me, or does it seem like they are doing very few new episodes anyhow? I'd like to see them do a whole season with no explosions at all. I'm tired of all the blowing stuff up.

    Bad bad trebuchet.

I think they are doing that chain reaction show too now, I don't if that counts as episodes of mythbusters under the new contract or a completely different show. (It shows ot the same time here in Canada instead of mythbusters.)

It's a different show. Interesting, but a different show. It kind of reminds me of Junkyard Wars.

I've seen plenty of other shows with explosions, but they just aren't the same.

It seems all of Discovery's new shows are about guns, or people who make guns. I have to say I don't get it. I enjoy shooting, but watching other people shoot? Just doesn't do it for me.

People who make medieval artillery, on the other hand, would be awesome! Adam & Jamie have done a catapult or two but there's usually something about them that strikes me very wrong. As is the case with most other shows about medieval artillery. Forget what I said in the first sentence, they pretty much always screw something up!

Wasn't there a show like that on the History channel back when it really was The History Channel?

Several, I expect. I've probably got most of them on VHS somewhere! I recall one where they had a team building a huge ballista. It ended up having a range of about 50 feet, which they claimed made it a totally viable weapon.

Yes, but how do you raise it high enough to drop on someone's head? ; )
