I tried doing a forum search using google, but I did not find a similar thread except Mobile access via forum apps. I mostly use my android phone to browse and it takes much longer to make a post than other forums with mobile versions.

I'm interested in this as well. I really like the Tapatalk app on my Android phone, and I wish I could access more message boards with it.

There was a thread on this a couple of months ago. With the merger, it may gain new wheels.

On the bottom left of every page there should now be a dropdown box that enables you to switch between different forum skins. One of them is called the Default Mobily Style. It may not be ready yet, it may still have some merger issues, and it might not be supported at all, I'm not even sure if it works... but it might be worth a shot. If you don't see the dropdown box, some script or adblocking thingy might be hiding it.

Here's my two cents on this. The mobile version works great for me, to a point. I can now read the forum, without have to enlarge twice (which randomly locks up my phone). However, I still cannot sign in on the phone. Which I believe is a limit of the phone, not the software. I get the message that the files are too large to download, which I got before merger. However it is nice that I can read without having to strain the eyes. I'll check back on this in a couple of months when I get a new phone. Of course, I anticipate getting the random banned user message, when I"m not on WiFi.

That does improve the mobile browsing experience. I would still like to be able to use Tapatalk, which I understand requires a vBulletin plugin. I have no idea what the pros/cons are from the perspective of board administration.

The great thing about Tapatalk is that it brings so many fora into one nice easy app. BAUT can sit alongside apollohoax.net.

Well, the forum lives in a new world now, maybe it's more receptive to using a plugin, especially when it may help the citizen science projects. But let's wait a bit with proposing it, until the tech team is finished with this and has had some well earned R&R..
