    A couple of other nits:

The thread What can we do for you? says that it has two pages, but you can't get to the second page.

The main-page descriptions for Random Chatter, Exploring the Kuiper Belt, Ice Investigators, Hangouts, Astronomy Education, API Wishlist, and Widgets all have \ characters before the ' characters. They need to be removed.

When it's all done, I'd like to see numbers for the sizes
of the major pieces of the forum (program, database,
index, graphics, whatever), and the total.

Same here (posts in CosmoQuest attributed to different user), but wanted to add that messages quoting me later in the thread do refer to my proper username

RickJ, the attachments are still transferring, and the upload manager is being looked at as well.

Haven't seen that mentioned yet, but I expect the first order of business will be to get CosmoQuest's own scheme back in working order first.

There are a number of people (who I think are from CosmoQuest rather than BAUT) who are showing post counts of zero despite having at least one post, I have spotted this in these threads:
    http://cosmoquest.org/forum/showthre...pgrade-Tonight
    http://cosmoquest.org/forum/showthre...05-BAUT-Merger
But I'm sure that there are more people effected by this and possibly other post count errors

    Hi,

Not sure if it's the right spot and also don't know whether others are affected, but at least here from down under the forum performance has absolutely tanked since the merger/migration.

Is this because indices are still being built - I wouldn't expect it's because of punier hardware or because membership suddenly went up my an order of magnitude?

Searched the threads on any mention of CQX performance issues and couldn't find anything. I'd been using the BAUTforums right until the shutdown and the contrast to them is still stark in my mind.

    Cheers!

Yes, there are still ongoing repair activities that may affect performance. Give it a few days while things get sorted, and then we'll see how well the new server takes the load.

RickJ: We've identified the problem of attachments not working, it may take a couple of hours to fix it. It's possible we may need to wait until all files are transferred, but I'm not sure.

Is this still an issue, mutleyeng? If so, can you point to an example? Thanks. (And Grashtel thanks for the reminder)

No problems, thanks for the heads up. Wish I could help - I'm weird in that I enjoy that sort of thing.

However, I have found that not all emoticons are working! I think fixing that should be priority #1! It's a clear crisis situation!

    Hi Slang,

Here's one example. All my posts in CosmoQuest are now attributed to Philip Slater, such as here http://cosmoquest.org/forum/showthre...y-Moon-Mappers and here http://cosmoquest.org/forum/showthre...lease-stand-up.

Also, in my (IreneAnt) profile, my post count is zero, my avatar is missing, my Science Team status is now Junior Member, and all my friends are gone. If you want more strangeness, I have 1 notification for an unread private message, but my inbox contains 0 messages, and I supposedly have 11 messages stored, but I can't find them anywhere. I assume other CosmoQuest people are having similar issues....

    Cheers

low on the list of priorities, but it would be good to have a CQ favoicon.

    here's a simple one:

There *is* a CQ favicon. I noticed it when putting the
link to the main page in my favorites just after I logged
on a few minutes ago. It is an "X". As in "Delete this!"
I also edited the name in the link to remove the initial
"The" so that it alphabetizes more usefully.

There's a worrying corollary: have any regular CQ members had their accounts swapped for (CQ) spamsters (most of whom would have been banned)? Or vice versa.

Also, has everything associated with each CQ member's account been successfully transferred? E.g. Visitor messages, PMs (as IreneAnt mentions), ...

    Hi All,

It looks like the natives who started here on CosmoQuest are the ones who suffered the most issues. For some reason, avatars and all private messages seem to have gone away, and titles have defaulted to registered user. I'm going to try importing them again, but if it doesn't work the first try, it may take a few days to sort.

    yeah its still an issue.
Example:- Forum>General>Google Hangouts> thread "Science hour hangouts" is showing as first post by "eddiefrench" but should be Nudger1964. All Nudger1964 posts show as eddiefrench so far as i can tell.
Im not really bothered for myself, i'll use this name from now on - just thought it may well effect others who also had a cosmoquest login

I can't access any my uploaded photo's in the Astrophototahraphy section. I'm hoping there still in transfer mode, I see the uploaded to forum site photo links when not signed on in my post, but when i sign on to view them they disappear. I've looked at couple other post an only see off site links added to photo's. It that the preferred method? If my photo's don't transfur ,i didn't added other links so the post are useless

The system is telling me I have two unread private messages. When I go to my inbox, it says I have 2,849 messages but doesn't show any of them.

Not sure if you still want this information, but the miss-attributed posts are still applicable to me as well. I only had a CQ login.

Here is where my post got shown as dave_f but it appears to be in the middle of being fixed now. Originally you could see the post, then later on see me get quoted correctly as natattack then incorrectly as dave_f (since post was made after the merger).

I have also found that links in CQ posts now direct you to the wrong page (at least in one case). It looks like the CQ thread numbers got re-assigned after the merger so old links try to send you to the BAUT thread numbers.
You can find an example of this here
If you try to follow the link in the post, you get directed to thread 552 Apollo-13-movie, not 552 Need-ability-to-rotate-moon-pictures. Still interesting, but not what I was looking for

That is, unless it all got fixed in the time it took me to post this.

There probably isn't an easy fix for this, but just so that you are aware...

    ~natattack (as a precaution)

So that's not the proper way to catch up to Swift's postcount?

I think posts should now appear attributed to the correct person on the post. I still need to rebuild the cache, so you may see references to bad information.

If you see a post, that when fully opened, doesn't show the correct name, please let us know (also let us know if you see duplicates)

I'm going to work on fixing private messages next, then user permissions (things like "Team Scientist). Cory (our lead programmer) is working on attachments. I'm afraid attachments are likely to either be fixed by the end of the day, or take several days. I'm so sorry that they are proving difficult.

UPDATE: private messages should now be fixed.
UPDATE 2: user titles should now be fixed

Thanks Pamela, and all the other coding folks. Things are starting to be sorted out....

    Things that are now working:
    - my posts are now my own - yay!
    - my title is correct (Team Scientist)
    - pm's all show where and as they should
    - my post counts are in the right ballpark (I think)

    Things that still need fixing:
    - my avatar is still missing
    - my old CQ posts don't show up in My Activity list on my profile
    - and my friends are all still missing :'(
None of these are urgent, but I thought you might like to know what's still not working.

    Cheers

I got a new PM recently and was able to read it, but now all of my old PMs are completely gone. The only PM the system is reporting is the new one. It's not a huge deal as I didn't need most of them, anyway, but it would be nice to have them back.

    Spelling error.

More of a typo. In the description of this forum on the main forum page. I'm surprised you haven't already spotted it.
