    Mr Bradbury will be missed. In my opinion, he easily bested many of his contemporaries in the "soft" side of writing: characters, style, pacing, plot, if not in the hard science. I suspect much of his work will stand up much better than that of his contemporaries.

    Bradbury's peripheral vision was unexcelled, his subliminal hearing unsurpassed. He knew how to build, and operate, the machineries of joy.
