My age is classified. Also, I age approximately one year for every two to three revolutions of the earth around the sun.

Nah, that would involve a discontinuity, impossible in a neutron star's comparatively weak gravity (as compared to a black hole). Just shallow! Lol (no offense intended -

And with that post you invalidated the poll.

Is there any reason you chose those particular ranges of ages?
I know one group at a 5 year range and another with a 30 year range can be weighted for comparison, but there seems to be another concept brewing.

Yes it is... and unlike me (in my 60's)... you have a long way to go to be old.

BAUT seems to have a "G" (child friendly) language restriction which made me curious as to what the percentage was of "non-adults" who post here... and there are only five choices available for polls... so with that limitation I simply divided the "adult" age groups in ways that might better demonstrate "age-gaps" in attitudes.

I would hope that 'net savvy kids won't answer the poll.

    I'm older than trash bags

I remember when Mom brought some home and demonstrated their use... and it seemed a waste to me... to throw away a nice bag (when it was full) that might not even be very dirty.

Posting is different to reading. The G rating is partly to enure that the site isn't blocked from schools etc, so anyone can read what's here.

I have clothing that is older than its 20s. I'm 54 years old.

But, as I often say, its not how old you are, its how old you feel... by that measure, I'm 117.

Our rules impose a "G" language restriction, for a variety of reasons (I'll save that for a different thread, but it has been discussed in Feedback).

I know of no good way to judge the age of casual readers, casual posters, and/or lurkers to BAUT. Certainly, this poll won't tell you this; nothing against your poll, but those who don't post are not going to participate. Judging by the people who pop up with single post questions in Q&A, we certainly get some participation from teenaged and 20-something folks.

We also have had some notable and active members over the years who started in their teens (high school) and still particpate on BAUT into their college years: crosscountry, KaiYeves, Gemini, and Andromeda321 (no longer active) come to mind, but I'm sure there are others.

Any ideas on what could be done to attract younger posters?

You and me both. I keep telling people that I have the knees of a woman twice my age. And believe me, she can have them.

All of the above. Including all episodes of Gunsmoke, radio included. Not older than Cassius Clay, however.

I've sometimes wondered what people here think my age is.

But I'm not going to say.

The only picture in my BAUT album that shows even a tiny fraction of my body shows my legs with a cat sitting in my lap.

Any ideas on how to attract younger posters to BAUT?

Why? So BAUT can have more revenue from stupid ads for idiot organizations aimed at the mentally immature market sector?
