I bet either Roger Corman or the Syfy channel will be making a movie soon covering this topic.

With all of the pythons in Florida, these rats don't have a chance.

The "Mongo Rule" might apply: "Oh don't do that, you'll just make them mad".

I don't know what a T-16 is, but so long as it doesn't interfere with the natural order of things by interfering with my food chain! I've enjoyed all sorts of gator, crab, plankton, jellyfish, and eel. Not exactly on my preferred dietary list, but in a pinch I'd scarf one down in a moment.

I prefer broccoli, carrots, kiwi, and the occasional moo, snapper, etc.

Depends on whether they (the rats) hunt in packs.

The problem is, they'll breed like rats.

I didn't know that Eric Idle, Michael Palin, or John Cleese lived in Florida or ate rats. :-)

Interesting, they can supposedly be trained to locate tuberculosis and landmines. If there's ever a war in the Keys, they'll be ready.

Of course, given the dietary habits of rats, the pythons may not be a problem for them, as the rats will eat the eggs. They'll also eat the newly-hatched alligators and newly-hatched snakes.
